BayanTrade achieves international ISO 9001:2000 certification

BayanTrade, Inc., the Philippines’ leading knowledge process outsourcing service provider, has
achieved international certification in ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems Standard.
Certification under the ISO 9001:2000 QMS Program was awarded in recognition of BayanTrade’s
compliance with the 8 quality process requirements for an effective quality management system in
the provision of outsourced services for both the Strategic Sourcing & Supply Management business unit and the Applications Support Operations. The certifying body for the project was TUV Rheinland Philippines. This ISO certification achieved by BayanTrade Inc. is the first of its kind for Strategic Sourcing services in the Philippines.
Conformance to ISO 9001:2000 quality standards required the implementation of procedural changes, training, documentation of key processes, and adjustments to operating systems on every level of operations at BayanTrade’s Taguig facility.
ISO 9001:2000 is a series of internationally-recognized standards developed by the International
Organization of Standardization which define requirements for the implementation of quality systems
in organizations. The standards apply uniformly to companies in any industry and of any size. ISO
9001 applies to industries involved in the product design and development, manufacturing,
installation, servicing of products, and service providers.
