BayanTrade Group SRM track lead named new PISM president

The Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM) recently announced its new set of Officers of the PISM Board of Trustees for Fiscal Year 2010-2011.
During its meeting last June 3, Lester Hernandez, C.P.M., of the BayanTrade Group of Companies was elected PISM national president, with his term taking effect on July 1, 2010. Currently the track head for BayanTrade’s supplier relationship management (SRM) practice, Hernandez has served the PISM Board for the past four years. Until his election as national president, Hernandez was previously the PISM’s vice president for events & conferences. Under his supervision, the PISM Events and Conferences team was able to spearhead successful runs of the organization’s annual event, SupplyLink in 2009 and 2010.
Other elected FY 2010-11 Officers are: Mr. Ricky Sison C.P.M. of St. Luke’s Medical Center as Vice President & Commissioner for Events & Conferences; Mr. Ronald Bunyi of SC Johnson & Sons as Vice President & Commissioner for Professional Development; Mr. Erwin Lacson, C.P.M. of JG Summit Holdings Inc. as Vice President & Commissioner for Chapters & Linkages; Ms. Alicia Pascual, C.P.M. of Dalta System Group as Treasurer & Commissioner for Finance; and Ms. Mariel Zamora, CPSM of International Container Terminal Services Inc. as Corporate Secretary & Commissioner for Membership.
The other elected PISM Trustees for FY 2010-11 include: Ms. Grace Alcaneses, C.P.M. of Pioneer Hi-Bred Philippines, Inc.; Mr. Ithiel Avendano of Kraft Foods (Philippines) Inc.; Ms. Corazon Calicdan, C.P.M. of Nutriasia Inc.; Ms. Josefina Dimarucut of Roche (Philippines) Inc.; Mr. Pierangelo Dominguez, C.P.M., DSM of Ginebra San Miguel Inc.; Mr. Carlos Maningat of United Laboratories, Inc.; Ms. Liza Medina, CPSM of PLDT; Mr. Edmund Mercado of Asian Hospital & Medical Center; and Ms. Rhea Pabustan of De La Salle University System - Philippines. Outgoing PISM President Cynthia Villanueva, FSM of ABS-CBN will sit as Ex-Officio member of the Board accordingly.
